REGISTRATION FEES

Our club operates independently as a 501(c)3 Organization and is not funded or supported by the townships of Branchburg or Somerville. Everything we do—from securing school facilities to providing gear, insurance, and developing a comprehensive program—is managed and financed by our club, board, and the dedicated parents involved. This structure allows us to create a unique environment focused on building champions and molding leaders through intensive training, mentorship, and personal growth.

Our fees cover essential aspects of our program, including league participation, school usage, referee payments, hired trainers, tournament entry fees, trophies, video and tech, singlet rentals, club insurance, and additional supplies. Despite these fees, they do not fully cover our annual operating costs. To ensure the sustainability of our program, we must rely on donations and fundraising efforts each year to bridge the budget gap.

In setting our fees, we carefully reviewed our costs as well as what similar programs not supported financially by their towns charge. We have ensured that our fees are in line with these programs while meeting the needs of our club.

Last year, our primary focus was laying a strong, sustainable foundation for future competitiveness. Building on that momentum, this year we are taking a major leap forward under a unified One Program, K-12 vision. We are making significant strategic investments to advance every wrestler's development, both on and off the mat. Based on family feedback and our new organizational roadmap, we are:

  • Unifying Our Curriculum: Aligning training directly from our youth levels through high school under Head Coach Will Schmidt and experienced coaching staff (including former Division I talent) so wrestlers transition seamlessly into varsity competition.

  • Upgrading Equipment & Resources: Investing directly in equipment and upgrades to ensure our wrestlers train in a top environment.

  • Expanding Competition: Creating more match, tournament, and postseason opportunities to accelerate real wrestling growth for every level, including our Novice athletes.

  • Structuring for Success: Establishing a dedicated program structure featuring our High School and Youth Committees to ensure our operations, volunteer energy, and coaching staff are fully aligned toward developing champions and leaders.

Our commitment to fostering excellence, character, and athletic growth is directly reflected in these investments, ensuring your child has the exact environment, coaching, and tools needed to reach their full potential.

Full Season - $250 per child prior, with discounts of $25 for your second and $50 for your third child. (These will automatically be applied in the cart upon checkout)

Full Registration includes September/October Clinic, Singlet Rental, and Select Tournament Fees. Uniforms are not included in this cost and are available in the team store along with additional equipment and spirit-wear.

Singlet Saver and Volunteer Bond

To ensure we can successfully run our club and get all our gear back for next season, we are asking for a Singlet & Volunteer Pledge. These are refundable $50 deposits for the season. We will return your $100 to you in full at the end of the season once you have returned your singlet and completed a volunteer commitment for the club. Your help is essential to our success, and this helps us make sure we have the support we need for our matches, fundraising events, day-to-day operations. etc..

Uniform

Each wrestler is required to have a complete team uniform consisting of shorts paired with either the Quarter-Zip and Black Tee combo or the new Orange Camo Tee. To help lower costs for our families, especially with price increases from our vendor, we created this second, lower-cost camo tee option as a budget-friendly alternative. Since these uniforms are built to last, you are also more than welcome to reuse gear from last season or swap outgrown items with other families. Feel free to use our GameChanger chat to connect with other parents, coordinate gear swaps, and figure out exactly which pieces your wrestler still needs before placing an order.

We understand that financial assistance may be necessary for some families. If you require financial support, please send an email to help@jrpioneerswrestling.com with a brief explanation of your need. We will follow up to discuss qualification criteria, which will include a structured proof format. All inquiries will be handled with discretion and care.

September/October Clinic

We will hold a clinics on September 24, October 1, and October 8. The cost of this is included in the Full Season sign up. Drop-ins are welcome and a suggested donation of $10 per session is requested. Registration forms for those not signed up will will be required at drop off.

Equipment Policy

Wrestling Shoes and Headgear are required for all practices and matches, along with the required uniform for competition. A limited amount of shoes and headgear are available to borrow from the club. Donations of equipment in good condition that no longer fits are always welcome and strongly encouraged to help new and current wrestlers.
